Just returned from the pub and I'm absolutely gutted. We so should have won.

Here's what Thierry Henry had to say:

"I was kicked all over the place. Carles Puyol and Rafael Marquez should have got yellow cards," he said.

"To defend against me with a yellow card - it's not the same game any more. I expected the referee to do his job. I don't think he did."

Of his future at Arsenal, Henry added: "I'll start to think about it tonight."

But Henry said he was proud of Arsenal's efforts.

"Everyone was talking about Ronaldinho before the game. I didn't see him today or and I didn't see Eto'o," he said.

"Henrik Larsson made the difference by setting up two goals. That was the key.

"We can be proud, we can be more than proud but I'm sorry, some of the refereeing today was horrendous."

Arsene Wenger said:

"The referee made a big mistake at a crucial moment - their first goal was offside.

"The way we lost is very difficult to take because we played fantastically, like we have the whole European season.

"But in the final, people only remember the team that has won."

I really thought we could do it but in the end, only the referee won. :-(

You're much sadder than I thought.

Andy - somebody once said, "if there is a word to describe it then use it, it's what words are for", two words describe this ...."too weird"! But bless you for believing so fantastically in "you", it is inspirational to us mere mortals who suffer the trials of trying to be seen as "adequate" in the shadow of your greatness and allowing your whole life to revolve around a little ball being kicked around an acre of grass with little white lines painted on it.

Next season the gunners will nail the chelsea pretenders!
